The Great Dane 🍽️ | A Go-To American Restaurant in Madison 🧀🍔

One of my all-time favorite spots—I’ve eaten here over 20 times and never been disappointed! 🙌 The Great Dane is open until 10 PM for dinner, which is pretty late for the area 🕙 Portions are generous for both appetizers and mains 🍛 Even when ordering takeout, the portions are never skimpy. Dining in is always a pleasant experience too! Almost everything is delicious—though a few dishes can be a bit salty for some tastes 😅 🍴 My Regular Orders: 🥗 Chimichurri Ranch Steak Salad A healthy and protein-packed option! Perfect if you want something nutritious but satisfying 💪 🍚 Korean Rice Bowl Really tasty, but a bit salty. You can always ask for less sauce! I usually don’t like pickles, but they work surprisingly well in this bowl 👍 🍖 Steak Frites Classic steak and fries—simple but always satisfying 🥩🍟 🍔 Pub Burger A solid, no-fuss American burger. Not too heavy and nicely balanced 🧅 🥗 High Point Harvest Bowl Features pan-fried tofu, edamame, sweet potato, and dried fruit—an interesting mix! ⚠️ Note: It contains beetroot… so order with caution if you’re not a fan! 🥗 Shrimp Salad Used to be really good, but I haven’t seen it on DoorDash lately. Not sure if it’s still available 🍤 🍚 Jambalaya Rice Flavorful but—you guessed it—a tad salty 😄 🐟 Fish Dishes Both the fried fish & chips and the grilled salmon are delicious! The salmon especially is cooked perfectly 👌 🥪 Sandwiches & Wraps The bread is crispy but a bit dry. Wraps are kinda thick. Honestly, not as great as their other mains—maybe skip these. A reliable, crowd-pleasing place with consistently good food and a cozy vibe. Great for groups, casual dates, or when you just want a hearty meal!
