The Hague Food Spot: Thais Restaurant Phuket
Second time visiting this restaurant by The Hague beach. The curry lobster is absolutely delicious and generously portioned! I couldn’t finish it, so I took it home – made a great meal the next day with some rice. Even as someone who doesn’t typically like curry, I found it especially tasty! 🦞🍛 Highly Recommended: Sweet and Spicy Frog: Crispy and then stir-fried, the meat is firm and chewy, not sweet or spicy – just perfect for me. 🐸✨ Beef Dish: Not sure of the name, but I ordered it based on online recommendations – a little spicy and perfect with rice. The flavor is unique and hard to describe, but you won’t go wrong with this one! 🥩🔥 Pad Thai: Really good, with rice noodles, egg, and bean sprouts all stir-fried together. It’s a big portion! 🍜 Not Recommended: Green Papaya Salad: The papaya wasn’t crunchy, and the peanuts lacked crunch too. It didn’t have the fresh, tangy flavor I was expecting – pretty average. 🥗 Raw Marinated Shrimp: If you’ve never tried raw marinated shrimp, be cautious with this one! I ordered it because of rave reviews but found the texture like chewing raw meat, which wasn’t for me. Even though it’s tender, it’s an acquired taste – not for everyone! 🍤❗️ We ordered five dishes, plus a takeout box, for €116.5 – pretty reasonable. The portions of frog and beef weren’t large, but the €40 lobster is a great deal and highly recommended! Service was good, especially for a Dutch restaurant. Lobster lovers, this one’s for you! 🦞❤️ #TheHagueEats #TheHague #DutchFoodSpot
