The Japanese BBQ Spot My Japanese Friends Always Choose! 🍖🔥
Feels like this super authentic BBQ spot has been flying under the radar lately—maybe because Torrance is a bit far for some, and the restaurant looks like a low-key neighborhood joint 😄. But trust me, it’s absolutely worth the trip for high-quality, super fresh meat! Menu prices everywhere seem to change every few months these days, but here, their set menus have stayed the same for 2–3 years! This time, my friend and I shared the $99.8 Washugyu & Wagyu set, which includes three types of crossbred Wagyu (raised in the US with that perfect marbled texture and rich flavor). We also added extra beef tongue (because we love it!) and a +$9.8 rice set that came with two bowls of rice, miso soup, and salad 🍚🥗. I’ve always wanted to try their hot pot with offal—it has great reviews!! But every time we come, we end up filling up on BBQ… next time, we’re going straight for the hot pot, haha! Charcoal grilling here is amazing—the meat is fresh and premium. Even A5 Wagyu feels less greasy cooked this way. The excess oil drips off, so it’s way less heavy than sukiyaki-style A5, which can be too rich after just a few bites. After eating, you can stroll over to Nijiya Market nearby—it’s got lots of affordable, tasty finds! There’s also a beautiful Japanese tableware shop next door. A bit pricey, but great for window shopping and inspiration ✨🍶.
