The Most Beautiful City Walk Route in Florence
You’ve got to visit Florence, the “Feilengcui” in Xu Zhimo’s writings at least once in your life. Listen to the bells of the Florence Cathedral.❤️❤️ Stroll through the streets of Florence. Immerse yourself in the Renaissance of a century ago.😻😻😻 If you only have one day in this city, be sure to follow this route!👇🏻 💁🏻♂️ Florence Cathedral (30 euros to climb to the top, it’s tiring, so decide for yourself) → Uffizi Gallery (25 euros in peak season, 16 euros in off-season) → Ponte Vecchio (the old bridge in Jay Chou’s music video) → Piazzale Michelangelo (the view of the whole city at sunset is beautiful) → Rose Garden (remember to visit when the flowers are in bloom) 1️⃣ Florence Cathedral It’s always crowded. To capture a photo without people, either come early or take a top-down shot.☕ The nearby alleyways are also great for photos, with plenty of café options. 2️⃣ Ponte Vecchio This is the old bridge featured in Jay Chou’s music video. There are many leisurely afternoon tea spots nearby where you can enjoy a gelato while sightseeing.🍨 3️⃣ Piazzale Michelangelo Check the sunset time and arrive here an hour or two before.🌇 The walk here is scenic with plenty of photo opportunities. From here, you can see the whole city of Florence bathed in the sunset, especially the stunning view of the Florence Cathedral! A telephoto lens will allow you to capture both the blurred figures and the architecture.🎤 There are also musicians performing on the square, and groups of people sitting on the steps watching the sunset, creating a very atmospheric scene. 4️⃣ Michelangelo Rose Garden Located nearby, the path here is a bit challenging, and it’s less crowded.🌹 When we visited, the roses were not in bloom, but it would be very romantic if they were. This spot also offers a panoramic view of the city. 5️⃣ Leaning Tower of Pisa 🚋 This is not in Florence, but it’s only a 50-minute train ride away. Pisa is worth a visit just for the Leaning Tower, though the rest of the city is a bit underwhelming. If you’re in Florence, consider setting aside a day for Pisa. 🚙 There are also the Florence Academy of Fine Arts, the Uffizi Gallery, and the Palazzo Vecchio... I had seen these on my research but didn’t have time to visit due to my tight schedule and the many exhibitions I had already seen along the way. If you have two or three days, be sure to include these in your itinerary. #ItalyTravel #ItalyTrip #ItalyTravelTips #Florence #FlorenceTravel #FlorenceTrip
