📚 The Most Beautiful Library in the US! A Baltimore Stroll Guide 🏛️✨

📍 George Peabody Library 17 E Mt Vernon Pl, Baltimore, MD 21202 Built in 1878 with funding from George Peabody, this stunning library is now part of Johns Hopkins University. Its 6-story atrium with soaring shelves and natural light from the skylight creates a dreamy, grand atmosphere. Open to the public on the first floor (perfect for photos!) 📸 Upper floors are closed to visitors Features rare 18th–19th century books and charming old catalog card drawers 📖 📍 Mount Vernon Place A historic brick-paved district with parks and elegant architecture. Home to the first Washington Monument in the US (yes, the one on Baltimore’s flag!) – climb to the top for city views 🗽 Mount Vernon Place United Methodist Church: A gorgeous Gothic-style church from the 19th century with striking stonework and spires 🏰 📍 The Walters Art Museum FREE entry! Sadly, I didn’t have time to visit this time 🖼️😢 📍 Mount Vernon Marketplace Just a 5-minute walk away – a clean, industrial-style food hall with a dozen vendors (though some were closed). Tasty Korean bibimbap and ramen 🍜 Affordable and cozy! #Baltimore #TravelGuide #PeabodyLibrary #MostBeautifulLibrary #USLibraries #HistoricWalk #MountVernon #FreeMuseum #FoodHall 🥪📚
