Must-Visit Attractions 👇🎯 1️⃣ VMFA Art Museum 🖼️ Highlights include: Fabergé’s exquisite jewelry designs, including the world-renowned Fabergé Eggs 🥚. Only 50 were ever made, and the museum holds 5! Made with gold, crystal, ivory, emeralds, and more. Family photos and portraits of Tsar Nicholas II and his children, who were executed during the Russian Revolution, marking the end of imperial Russia. Exhibits of 18th and 19th-century American furniture, a sizable Indian cultural collection, and decent displays from East Asia. The sculpture garden outside is also beautiful. ⚠️ Note: The layout can be confusing—grab a map! 2️⃣ Maymont 🏡🌿 A historic mansion owned by a Richmond financial tycoon. Features: A unique swan bed (though it was under renovation when I visited). A rustic yet thoughtfully designed Japanese garden. An Italian garden. 3️⃣ The White House of the Confederacy + American Civil War Museum 🏛️📜 Combo tickets are available. The White House is worth seeing from the outside. The Civil War Museum is housed in a repurposed factory with artistic architecture. It’s compact but fascinating for history buffs like me.
