🌽 The Most Exquisite & Delicious Corn Cake in Toronto Has Arrived! 🌽

At 📍 Roselle 362 King St E, Toronto • You can always trust 📍 Roselle’s ability to create amazing new desserts! This year’s strawberry season offerings just ended last week (if you’re interested, check out their IG — they were stunning! 🍓). A new wave of fruit-based desserts has already arrived this week, including Blueberry Lemon Meringue Tart and Raspberry Pavlova… AND! A freshly launched Sweet Corn Cake 🌽 launched today! I originally planned to take a break after missing the strawberry season, since besides their regular items (cookies, merinque cookies, cupcakes, banana cream éclairs, Earl Grey cake), they release unique new desserts every few weeks!! Recommend keeping an eye on them 👁️ But once this corn cake dropped, I couldn’t resist. Opens at 11 AM on Saturday — I arrived at 10:55 AM and there was already a long line! Why is it so popular? This place is really expensive, and personally, I’m not a fan of the rush-outdoor-line-and-window-order experience. But I guess the owners really know what people want… For example, this corn cake totally won my heart 💛 Four layers, all corn-related: A crunchy corn crumble base, corn flour sponge cake + Ontario corn protein mousse, topped with white chocolate corn-shaped cream and caramelized corn kernels. After tax, it’s $15.80 a slice — truly pricey. So you gotta savor it slowly. The corn flavor is rich and continuous — the most refined and comforting summer cake I’ve had this year. Sigh!
