Roselle is a tiny (and I really mean tiny... only 4 tables of 2 in the front area) bakery that has really wonderful and instagram worthy desserts that will satisfy any sweet tooth. Everything from light and fruity to deep caramel or chocolate notes... they have it all and all that we tried was excellent.

We arrived just before 8 pm opening and there was already a line up. We were the 3rd group in so we were able to snag tables but within 10 minutes opening, all tables were gone and already 6 groups bought a bunch of items and went for take out.

There are so many wonderful options that it was hard to just make a choice. We ended up getting The Earl, their special Matcha Tiramisu, Blonde Valrhona drinking chocolate (which came with a gratis mango passionfruit toffee!), and a canele. I really wanted to get one of their soft serve but we only had so much room! I loved how they also sold wonderful teas and a very cute Easter seasonal Hunny Bunny.

For all this, it did come up to $30 but oh wow, did it ever blow every expectation and beat many restaurant desserts who easily charge $12 per item. Most desserts here were only $7. The only thing that was more was their special nightly special (like the Matcha).

The earl grey was wonderful as it had a true note of black tea with a touch of citrus and bergamot. The entrement had wonderful clear layers and a composition of crunchy base with creamy mousse. Just wonderful! The matcha was equally great and quite big! It filled a sizeable cute jar with creamy matcha mousse with a touch of white chocolate to mellow out the bitter notes. I loved how everything wasn't overly sweet and let the original flavour notes to shine.

What was equally great was their canele... perfect caramlized crust and spongey custardy middle. I would dare say this is far better than Nadege! Yes... actually, I will say that. Definitely worth while to buy. It has a wonderful flavour of vanilla with a hit of rum. Just perfect. The drinking blonde chocolate wasn't sweet either but a great mellow caramelized white chocolates so for all those who love caramel... this is your drinking chocolate! What I loved as well was the toffee... that was a great burst of mango and passionfruit with a buttery chewy candy.

Overall, I'm excited to discover this (okok later than most people) and already have plans to come back. I can't wait to try...

Given the part-time hours and the owner's recent rise to Food Network stardom, I feel like Roselle is quiet quitting their own business.

I recently had the displeasure of visiting Roselle in Toronto, and I must say, it was a complete letdown. Given its reputation and the hype surrounding it, I had high expectations. Unfortunately, Roselle failed to live up to even the most basic standards of a reputable establishment. It's safe to say that this place is severely overrated and on a downward spiral.

First and foremost, the service was abysmal. The staff seemed disinterested and lacked any sense of professionalism. I had to wait an exorbitant amount of time just to get a menu, and when I finally placed my order, it took ages for the food to arrive. The servers seemed more preoccupied with chatting amongst themselves than attending to the customers. It was a clear sign of their apathy towards providing a satisfactory dining experience.

Now, let's talk about the food. It was underwhelming, to say the least. The menu boasted innovative and exciting flavor combinations, but the execution fell flat. The dishes lacked the finesse and attention to detail that one would expect from a supposedly top-notch establishment. The flavors were muddled, and the presentation was uninspired. I found myself questioning what all the fuss was about, as the food was far from memorable.

To add insult to injury, the prices at Roselle are downright outrageous. I wouldn't mind paying a premium if the quality of food and service justified it, but in this case, it was a complete rip-off. I left the restaurant feeling not only disappointed but also ripped off for the subpar experience I had just endured.

All in all, I cannot in good conscience recommend Roselle in Toronto. It's clear that this once-promising establishment has lost its way. The lackluster service, mediocre food, exorbitant prices, and uninspiring atmosphere make it a far cry from the exceptional dining experience it claims to offer. Save your money and look elsewhere for a truly memorable culinary...

TL;DR: Amazing desserts and service.

I passed by this store a couple of times while going to Tandem coffee, but never went in. I finally decided to check it out and I'm totally glad I did. The deserts here are amazing! I ended up going two days in a row and loved every thing I had. Service was excellent here, and it made the visit even better. Everyone who works there is very knowledgeable about what they sell and give good recommendations. I had the paradise cake, the Earl, an earl grey shortbread cookie sandwich, a blonde hot chocolate (made using roasted white chocolate), and the caramels.

The cakes were delicious without being too rich, and had some unique flavours and combinations that really stood out from other dessert places. Their hot chocolate is pretty rich and I would say one of the best I've had in the city, and it's served with a piece of chocolate that they use to make the hot chocolate. Their caramels are also delicious and worth picking up if you ever go there. They have some awesome flavours like mango and raspberry. They're also made with local ingredients from what I remember.

Everything is handmade in store and there are limited quantities each day of all the items. Make sure you don't go to late in the day or you may miss out on some of their offerings. If you go on a Friday or Saturday evening they have special hours from 8pm-11pm where they would have desserts that are only offered at that time only in addition to their regular offerings. They usually run out fast so get there when they open up in the evenings! the location is small and seating is limited (maybe around 12-15?) So keep that in mind. It's a little on the pricier side but well worth the price.

This is a place I recommend to everyone and is worth a drive out from Mississauga just for...
