The Most Scenic Brunch Near Laguna Beach π΄β¨
On a slightly chilly May day in California, we made our way to Laguna Beach just before sunset. Here, you can feel the salty sea breeze, see the vibrant cactus flowers, and dream of oceanfront villas with hundreds of blooming roses. Walking along the path from the Love Tree, every corner offers a different breathtaking view. Just as we were wondering where to find a restaurant for dinner and to warm up, we stumbled upon Las Brisas, a Californian restaurant on Google Maps, where the warmth of the charcoal fire instantly enveloped me, shaking off the chill of the cloudy day. π€οΈ Since we wanted to enjoy the sea views and the twinkling lights of the distant mountains, we chose to sit outside. Almost every table comes with a standard electric heater, keeping our backs warm and allowing us to enjoy our meal in comfort. We checked out the menu (pages 6-7) and ordered a few dishes that didn't disappoint: Lobster and Steak Tacos: πππππ These layered tacos are at the top of the menu! Two tacos come with black bean rice, and the meat is abundant, seasoned just right, and perfectly to our taste. π¦ White Wine Garlic Shrimp Risotto: ππππ The shrimp is super fresh, grilled over charcoal, and incredibly aromatic. The dish is creamy with a rich flavor, but the white wine balances it out nicely. The sauce is a bit salty, which I love when paired with the rice. π€ Creamy Corn Chowder: ππππ This savory corn chowder has carrots and chicken breast.
