After moving jobs from Marina Del Rey to Santa Monica, I thought I’d start exploring near my new workplace. But nope—I still keep circling back to my old spots after work 💦… and my dining range hasn’t changed either. Today, I have to recommend a few of my locked-in, low-key favorite spots in Venice 👇 ① Charcoal Venice — The Duck of My Dreams 🦆🔥 Right across from MDR West, it looks low-key and unassuming from the outside. But their crispy duck is so delicious it left me speechless. Sweet, unbelievably fragrant — I first ordered a whole table of food randomly after a workout, and this duck absolutely blew me away 💯. The sunset vibe is gorgeous, and the service is great. ② Venice Sushi Trio Recommendations 🍣 Irori Sushi A cozy spot where you take off your shoes — warm, welcoming, and my frequent go-to. UO NIGIRI Recently opened — more refined and upscale in ambiance. Kopan Solid choice for an occasional visit. Changed jobs, changed office, changed commute… but still couldn’t change my obsession with eating in Venice 🤣. Especially Charcoal — just thinking about that crispy duck makes my mouth water.
