The Penthouse - The Huntley Hotel 🌆🍽️
Valet parking at the Huntley Hotel costs $18, plus it’s nice to add a little tip. Remember to have your parking ticket stamped by the restaurant staff—it’ll cover your parking fee! 🅿️✅ Crispy Rice: I went for the wagyu option, which came as two servings. The first one featured wagyu mixed with black truffle sauce on top of a crispy rice ball. The topping was delicious and rich, but the rice base was a bit too hard and chewy. The second serving had thin, crispy rice paper topped with raw wagyu and a dollop of avocado sauce—light, fresh, and tasty! 🥑✨ Filet Mignon + Special Sauce The steak was ordered separately but turned out a bit dry. The sauce, though, was specially made. Honestly, I was really craving that dish with steak, figs, and cauliflower—but it’s no longer on the menu. 😢 The server kindly suggested we order the steak, and the kitchen could still prepare the same sauce! The dish arrived, and we almost finished it before I remembered to take a photo. 📸 Dessert - Cheesecake + Two Scoops of Whipped Cream It was sour—really tangy. The top had what seemed like yuzu sauce or some kind of fruit jam, which was super zesty. The cheesecake underneath was very sweet. Typical Western-style dessert—not really recommended for those who prefer Asian dessert flavors. 🍰🙅 Overall, this restaurant offers lower value for money—you’re really here for the view. The flower displays and mirrors on the hotel’s first floor are super Instagrammable. 📸🌺 From the restaurant, you get stunning panoramic views of the Santa Monica coastline from different angles, plus that golden California sunshine—perfect for photos! 🌊☀️ Have you been here?
