🍲 The Right Way to Enjoy Chaoshan Beef Hotpot in Boston!
📍 21 Beale St, Quincy, MA 02170 🔥 Koi Hotpot We knew it would snow today, so we chose a Chaoshan beef hotpot spot close to my friend's place—but we never expected such heavy snowfall ❄️! This hotpot meal paired perfectly with the snowy weather! The three of us ordered: ✅ White Pepper & Fish Maw Chicken Broth + a beef platter + beef crispy fat (xiong kou lao) + shrimp paste + assorted vegetables We were thoroughly satisfied—stuffed to the brim! 🌟 Key Highlights❗️❗️ 1️⃣ The broth is a must-try!! The pot comes with half a chicken and generous pieces of fish maw. My friend took one sip and exclaimed, “So flavorful!” We started by eating the chicken and drinking the warm soup, topped with scallions and cilantro. A bowl of this instantly warmed us up, leaving us comfortably sweaty—pure bliss ✨ 2️⃣ Unlock the hidden dipping sauce! Since the restaurant also serves coconut chicken, I asked the server for their special coconut chicken dipping sauce (kept in the fridge!). With lime and Thai chili, it’s tangy and spicy—perfect with the chicken! I even used it for the beef later, and it elevated the flavor entirely 👍 3️⃣ Exceptionally thoughtful service~ Because of the heavy snow, the restaurant wasn’t busy. The server helped us cook the meat at our table and even explained the proper order for different cuts! The beef was fresh and tender—my friend said it tasted much better than when we cooked it ourselves last time 😋 4️⃣ Must-order items! ✔️ Beef Crispy Fat (Xiong Kou Lao): Unique crispy texture! ✔️ Fried Tofu Skin: Soaks up the broth perfectly, especially with my special dipping sauce—the best tofu skin I’ve ever had! ❄️ A steaming hotpot indoors, with goose-feather snow falling outside… Moving back to Boston really feels like a blessing~ We even snapped some beautifully atmospheric photos in the snow on our way out! #BostonFood #ChaoshanBeefHotpot #HotpotOnASnowyDay #QuincyEats #BostonWinter
