🔍The Salty Donut 📍 1519 W Swann Ave, Tampa, FL 33606 I’m not a fan of donuts… unless they’re cute enough 🐾. The Salty Donut is exactly that kind of place! My first time trying it was when a friend took me to Orlando to cheer me up. We dressed up all girly 🌸, but then took a total 180 turn—we ordered almost every flavor of donut in the shop and started wolfing them down like there’s no tomorrow 😂. And just like that, my mood went from cloudy to sunny 🌤️. Eating with friends is the ultimate cure for a Gemini foodie like me! Speaking of which, our favorite flavor is guava 🍑. But like most Western desserts, it’s on the sweeter side—perfect with a cup of coffee ☕. That kind of “just right” that suddenly lifts your mood, you know? It makes you realize bitterness and sweetness go hand in hand, like two puzzle pieces fitting together 🧩. Ever since then, The Salty Donut has held a special place in my heart—it’s all about friends, companionship, and being “saved” in the best way possible ❤️. Later, when my friend moved to Tampa, we started planning all sorts of food adventures together. Imagine our surprise when we found out The Salty Donut had opened a location here too 🎉! The two of us had originally planned to hit the gym the next day, but that plan went out the window faster than you can say “donut” 🏋️♀️→🍩. It just so happened to be their grand opening, and the line was insanely long 🚶♀️🚶♂️🚶♀️. There was this lady in front of us who stood in the sun for over ten minutes, then huffed, “That’s just donuts” and stormed off 🚶♀️💨. I silently mourned her lost ten minutes… then immediately prayed for our own wait to speed up 🙏🏻. “Hurry up, please! I’ve got work to get back to later!” Turns out, faith moves mountains (or at least donut lines) ⛰️→🍩. Ten minutes later, we finally made it in! But here’s the thing: there wasn’t even a spot to stand and eat inside 😅. Lucky for us, we were planning to stop by IKEA afterward—that place has the space, the lighting, the vibe… and it’s free 🛋️!
