🌍Seattle’s iconic The Spheres is a urban oasis created by Amazon over 5 years, with an investment of $4 billion, themed around a tropical rainforest ecosystem. 🌍Within the three massive glass orbs that make up The Spheres, there are five levels of buildings with plants layered in varying heights, featuring more than 400 species of rainforest flora. Scattered amidst the shades of green are a variety of rest and work areas: a coffee area, sofa area, recliner area, “bird’s nest” resting area, and a round table meeting room with a 180-degree city view. 🌍A friend introduced me to The Spheres, which primarily serves as a lunch, discussion, and relaxation space for Amazon employees. Just before coming in, I saw The Spheres has an outdoor area with Amazon’s Go Banana carts, distributing free bananas to the community.
