The taste of Turkish cuisine by a former Michelin-starred chef
It’s so delicious! The first thing I did when I returned to Seattle was to come to this super hard-to-book Turkish restaurant. Truly, the mind of a typical foodie, haha 🤣 After eating, I can only say, the former Michelin three-star chef really has some skills! 📍 Hamdi The dining experience is top-notch, perfect for a date. The restaurant’s decor is cozy, with an open kitchen, about a dozen tables. This might also be why it’s hard to book. Most of the dishes were great, and the steak was particularly outstanding! The owner starts by introducing the menu at each table and informing if there is any aged steak available to order, as well as the price, with a demeanor that makes me happily hand over the tip. Appetizers 🌟 Salata Turkish salad 🥗 The overall flavor is very acidic; if you’re not into sour flavors, you might want to skip this! It’s best paired with bread; eating it on its own really makes your facial expressions go wild. This is probably the only dish we “stepped on a mine” with. 🌟 Pide Turkish pizza 🍕 The egg in the center is what attracted me the most; visually, it’s a full score 💯 After taking a bite, I discovered there’s more than meets the eye. The crust is crispy with aubergine puree as the filling, which not only doesn’t overpower but actually enhances the flavor! The smoothness of the aubergine puree can rival mousse; I thought it was chocolate sauce at first! Truly astonishing. Main Courses 🌟 Kebap Lamb belly meat, incredibly tender, with a toasty fat aroma, no gamey lamb taste at all. The vegetables perfectly balance out the richness of the fat! The portion is also great for sharing~ 🌟 T-bone The star T-bone aged steak! It took about 40 minutes to be ready, but in the moment I took a bite, I understood that the wait was worth it! The steak is full of flavor, a bit like sausage, haha~ Cooked to medium, the outer fat edge is my favorite! The price is around 180🔪, a must for meat lovers! When it was time to pay the bill, it was also cute; they brought out a small box that included two Turkish delight candies, a.k.a. the girl captor. Parking nearby is convenient, and if you arrive early, you can catch the sunset 🌄. For friends who like to try new cuisines or are looking for a date spot, this place is a must; it’s absolutely worth every penny. #Seattle #FoodExploration #TreasureRestaurantShare #DateRestaurant #AtmosphericRestaurant #Turkey #TurkishCuisine #Michelin #MichelinThreeStars #DryAging #Tbone #Pizza #Delicious
