The Ultimate Food Destination from Seattle — Vancouver!

When Zhou Shen said Chinese food in Seattle wasn’t great, it definitely struck a chord with many of us here 😅 But let’s be real — the true culinary paradise for Seattleites is just a drive away: Vancouver! Over the weekend, my friends and I headed to Banbuxian in Richmond — a classic Sichuan restaurant, and here’s the honest take: It’s seriously delicious 😋, portions are HUGE, and the prices? Totally reasonable! That said, our group of four — like wide-eyed food newbies — went a little overboard and ordered six dishes, four rice bowls, and one noodle dish 🍛🥢: Boiled Beef with Spicy Broth Stir-fried Lettuce Shredded Potato with Chili Chives with Scrambled Eggs Twice-Cooked Pork Fried Lamb Ribs Shredded Pork Noodles The result? We couldn’t finish it all — not even close! Ended up happily packing everything up for a second delicious round the next day 🍱💁‍♀️ A word of warning ⚠️: Their “noodle dish” is NOT a single serving — it’s a gigantic bowl (no, really — a BOWL!) that’s even bigger than the boiled beef pot! Every dish felt like a hearty Northeast Chinese portion — generous and satisfying! The final bill came out to roughly $127 USD — which in Seattle, would barely get you four dishes 🙃 So… any must-try food spots in Vancouver you’d recommend? Heading back in two weeks and ready to eat my way through the city — again! 🚗💨 #SeattleLife #SeattleEats #VancouverFood #SeattleToVan #FoodOasis #AuthenticChinese #EatLikeALocal #VCBFoodie #SeattleWeekend #VanLife
