The Ultimate One-Day Dallas Tour with Your Dog

🚗 (It took 8 hours to drive from New Orleans to Dallas, plus time for charging 🔋 and buying food. There was even a meeting 🫠 in between, making the total travel time a solid 11 hours.) For our one-day tour in Dallas, we managed to do three things, all recommended by a local friend: in the morning, we visited Fort Worth to see the cattle and tire out our dogs; in the afternoon, we went to a bathhouse; and in the evening, we met up with friends for Korean food. 🏨 We stayed at the Residence Inn Dallas DFW Airport West/Bedford, which is dog-friendly, offers breakfast, and is very close to the airport. We chose this location because we only had one full day to explore, and it's conveniently situated between Fort Worth and Carrollton’s “Koreatown.” Next time, we might stay in Carrollton since there are more dining options 😋 Foodies should consider staying in the northern part of the city, as most Chinese restaurants seem to be in the Plano area. 📍 Fort Worth Stockyards: This place is great for both shopping and taking photos 📷. There are many small shops and restaurants. At 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., there's a cattle drive where a group of longhorns parade around the block for about 15 minutes. It's definitely worth watching, and if you're interested, you can even take photos riding the cattle 📷. After tiring out our dogs, we sent them back to the hotel so we could enjoy the rest of the afternoon as “humans.” #DallasFood #DallasKoreanCuisine #DallasLife
