The World's Best Creamy Chicken Stew Birthday Restaurant
🍇 Noble Rot initially started as a wine magazine and has since won numerous awards for its wine selection after opening its restaurant. I've passed by the Soho location several times without getting a table; walking in without a reservation is not likely. So, I took the opportunity to book a table in advance for my birthday celebration with my girlfriends. ✨ Noble Rot has three locations: Noble Rot Lamb's Conduit, Mayfair, and Soho. The Soho branch is known for its unique creamy chicken stew that has placed the restaurant among the top 100 in the UK: 🍗 Roast Chicken, Morels & Vin Jaune, Riz au Pilaf We decided on this dish first, which requires over 40 minutes of preparation, so it's best to order this first and then take your time ordering the rest. The chicken is tender and flavorful, the salty cream sauce is slow-cooked with French yellow wine, giving it a rich aroma, and it comes with morels. There's also a side of chicken fat pilaf. It's a large portion that we, four girls, managed to finish. At £80, it's quite pricey, but this dish is both simple and luxurious, with the key being the quality of the ingredients. Snack must-tries: 🍔 Choux Bun, Chicken Liver Parfait, Tokaji Jelly & Walnut The chicken liver parfait in a choux bun is a delightful surprise. Initially, we ordered only two to share, fearing it might not taste good. The liver parfait is whipped very lightly, with a creamy texture that's not at all greasy, and the sweet and savory flavors are well-balanced with a lingering aftertaste. 🥗 Vesuvio Tomato & Octopus Panzanella Salad Panzanella is a summer salad originating from the Tuscany region in Italy. It comes with tomatoes, basil leaves, and soaked oil bread chunks, which are tangy and sweet, very appetizing. This version adds octopus to the traditional panzanella. It's tasty, but there's not enough octopus, so it's not highly recommended. 🐚 Clams, Pastis Butter & Lardo Clams stewed with anisette butter and lard, rich in saltiness and aroma with a hint of alcohol. 🍰 For dessert, we ordered Mirabelle Plum & Hazelnut Tart It's not the most visually appealing, and we were surprised by its appearance, but it's not overly sweet. The madeleines were a complimentary gift for my birthday. I didn't get to try them at St John, but I was delighted to have them at Noble Rot 😋 💰 The average cost per person is £50-70. #ThreeMealsFourSeasons #LondonRestaurant #FoodieMap #UKLife #BirthdayRestaurant #DateRestaurant #TonightsDinner #HiddenGemRestaurant
