This Bowl of Phnom Penh Noodles is Worth the Drive to Long Beach! 🚗🏖

🤤 Have you tried it yet? I’ve always loved Southeast Asian food, and Long Beach has become a go-to spot for Cambodians missing tastes from home. This time, we visited a family-run spot that’s open only for breakfast and lunch, serving deeply authentic, complex flavors. 📍 Phnom Penh Noodle Shack We had to wait in line a bit—it’s a small place with limited seating. Humble, affordable, and always busy! 🍜 What we ordered: 🍖 Phnom Penh House Special We chose small rice noodles to go with it—comes with a huge bowl of rich bone broth. Almost every table had this! Includes pork slices, minced pork, beef liver, and shrimp, topped with green onions and crispy fried garlic. Add a little broth, mix, and enjoy—the soup is slightly sweet and deeply savory. 🥩 Beef Stew Served with thin egg noodles—looked irresistible as soon as it arrived. Beef stewed in tomato-based broth with big pieces of tripe and tendon. 🍲 Pork Rice Porridge House Special Asked the staff which porridge is most popular—they recommended this one. A Cambodian-style congee, incredibly flavorful and packed with offal (liver, blood cake, etc.). Topped with fried shallots and scallions—so fragrant! If you love offal and porridge, don’t miss this bowl. 🌶️ Their condiment bar is fun too! Little pickled peppers (addictively spicy!) and salty fermented beans. If you’re near Long Beach, don’t miss this spot! 📍 Phnom Penh Noodle Shack 1644 Cherry Ave, Cambodia Town, Long Beach, CA 90813 #My2022Keywords #MyStoryWithThisShop #HotMeals #Inspiration #LosAngeles #LAEats #LALife
