This is the juiciest fried chicken I’ve ever had in my life!

I’m just visiting Dallas for a few days, and I found a highly-rated fried chicken place near my accommodation. 📍 Mike’s Chicken 🌟I saw online that this place can get pretty crowded during meal times, so I made a point to come early in the afternoon to pick up my order. I’ve never been particularly interested in fried chicken because I always thought fried foods were too greasy and often dry. But today’s fried chicken really changed my mind! The prices here are super friendly. Two thighs, one leg, two sides of your choice, and a biscuit all for just $13. If you’re not into sides, you can go for the meat lover’s option, which is even more appealing to carnivores. I’d recommend the spicy version; only the batter is spicy, while the chicken itself remains original in flavor. 🍽️The batter on this fried chicken is the lightest I’ve ever encountered! It’s incredibly crispy and perfectly integrated with the skin. Once you bite through the coating, you’ll be amazed by the burst of meat juices. The meat is so juicy, tender, and not dry at all. Even though the chicken isn’t marinated, there’s no gamey flavor whatsoever. Personally, I prefer the thighs over the legs; they’re just so satisfying to sink your teeth into. 🦑The fries here are also coated in batter before frying, giving them a crispy texture that outweighs the meatiness, which is exactly how I like them. However, they don’t have any salt on the surface (and I forgot to get some), so they ended up tasting a bit bland. What a pity! 🥦The biscuit is brushed with sugar on the outside and has a nice buttery aroma. It’s a bit dry, but other than that, it’s pretty good. The creamed corn gets a bit clumpy when it cools down, and I personally prefer Terry Black’s version. This fried chicken definitely makes it into my top 3 in my brief fried chicken review career.
