This matcha shop on Brick Lane 🍵 really has some serious stuff 🥹
🍵 Katsute 100 Brick Lane I’ve been eyeing this place for a while, haha I was going to get the matcha cake, But I also really wanted to try the black sesame, So I bought both! 😋 Black Sesame Cheese Cake 💷6.5 An incredibly light cheese cake with a rich black sesame flavor. The texture is dense and moist, worth savoring. And it’s really not too sweet or cloying (after all, it’s made by Asians). The cream on top 🧁 complements it just right! 😋 Matcha Brownie 💷3.95 Super dense and substantial! Great value for money. The first bite and I was hooked! The matcha powder they use seems to be of good quality. It’s bitter but not astringent, and it’s very fine with no powdery texture. The chunks inside are like white chocolate, balancing out the bitterness. The apricot slices add texture and enrich the flavor! (This one is on the sweet side and quite filling, it’s the kind of sweet bliss! If you’re afraid of sweetness or richness, it’s better to eat 1/2 or 1/4 at a time.) Planning to try their other items next time! #Matcha #MatchaBrownie #BlackSesameCheeseCake #BlackSesameCake #BrickLane #BrickLaneFood #LondonDesserts #LondonDessertRecommendations #MatchaCake
