Los Angeles Hidden Gem Area I stumbled upon this elegant Korean restaurant not too far from where I live during some online browsing!! A 30-minute drive is totally worth it—I rushed over during my lunch break! I’ve always known Gardena has a strong Korean and Japanese community, and parking here is way easier compared to Little Tokyo or Koreatown—plenty of free spots everywhere! This area is seriously underrated and worth exploring! 🚗💨 Any place that offers wood-smoked duck and blood sausage is a must-try for me! The Korean auntie who runs the place was super warm and enthusiastically explained how each dish is different from others you might find elsewhere. And guess what? Every dish comes with its own specially paired dipping sauce! 😋 【Seafood Scallion Pancake (Haemul Pajeon)】 This is one hearty pancake—packed with loads of fresh seafood! 🦑🦐 The auntie said she often eats pajeon elsewhere, and when it’s cut into 8 pieces, some end up with barely any seafood… super disappointing. So they make sure every slice is loaded—no one leaves unhappy! 【Bibim Naengmyeon (Spicy Cold Noodles）】 Perfect for this weather! Icy, refreshing, and tossed in a well-balanced spicy-sweet sauce. The chewy buckwheat noodles and the soft-boiled egg were just perfect~ 🥚❄️ 【Steamed Cypress-Smoked Duck】 This duck is the star! 🦆✨ After steaming, the meat looks glossy and beautiful—even the scallions underneath turned sweet. She told us the cypress wood box is handmade in Korea using Japanese wood, and even the stainless-steel tray at the bottom is custom-made. The duck is infused with a delicate woody smokiness—so delicious!! 【Blood Sausage (Sundae)】 Steamed sundae—healthy, protein-packed, and super flavorful! The texture is firm yet tender, with chewy bits of glutinous rice and glass noodles inside. It’s great with just a dip of salt or spicy sauce. The portion is huge, ingredients are super fresh, and there’s zero weird odor—you can really taste the quality!
