This World Kitchen in The Hague, Netherlands 🌍🍽️
Today's recommendation is The Gyros Club, Den Haag, a place I've visited no less than three times. They have a world cuisine kitchen and an entire menu of excellent cocktails. The prices are a bit steep, but the service and ambiance are fantastic. I ordered three dishes: roasted pork belly, beef sushi, and Greek fried chicken, and then added a tuna taco to accompany the drinks. 🍴🏠The roasted pork belly is like a combination of red-braised pork and Japanese yakiniku, sweet and tender with a full charcoal flavor. The beef sushi is enhanced with black garlic sauce and medium-rare beef, creating a perfect blend of garlic and beef flavors that's exemplary. The Greek fried chicken is a classic. Imagine Japanese fried chicken with Greek feta cheese—what a magical taste experience it is! It's so irresistible that I couldn't stop praising it, and I devoured every last bite. The last taco was different from the usual Mexican ones. Its outer layer had a taste similar to fried sesame leaves, and it was filled with tuna marinated in mayonnaise. It was at least three times more delicious than a corn tortilla wrapped in beef. The dishes weren't the most astonishing, but what made me exclaim and have three drinks in a row were their cocktails! 🍹 🍴🏠The Moscow mule is the one I highly recommend and order every time I visit. Their version has a perfect balance of sweet and sour with a strong ginger flavor, moderate serving size, and just the right amount of sweetness, with hardly any alcohol taste. Then there's the surprise I discovered last week, the pornstar martini. The pure passion fruit flavor combined with a rich taste is definitely a cocktail you don't want to miss. Finally, let's talk about the average cost, which is a bit pricey. The average cost per person for food is 30, and with after-dinner drinks, it's 60. #TheHague #DutchFood #DutchLife #Netherlands #TheHagueFood #TheHagueExplore #DutchLife
