Tired of Waiting for the Arashiyama Mini Train?
π Check Out This Hidden Shrine Nearby - Kuwata Shrine While waiting for the Sagano Mini Train π at Arashiyama Kameoka Station, we realized we had over an hour to kill and decided to explore the area before heading back to the station. We spotted a sign for "Kuwata Shrine" with a stunning autumn π picture, and immediately decided to check it out πΏπ (I'm so glad we made that decision, as we didn't miss out on such a peaceful autumn π scenery). The shrine is about a 10-minute walk from Kameoka Station. Don't π follow the detour on Google Maps (it might not be updated due to previous construction ποΈ). Just walk through the underpass below the station, and you'll get there directly π πΏπ The entrance to the shrine is in a quiet farming area, which is probably a regular spot for the local residents. We visited around noon, and there were hardly any people, allowing us to quietly enjoy the shrine's red leaves π You can even get a view of Kameoka Station from the shrine through the most vibrant π tree. The shrine is not very large, and a 30-minute visit is sufficient. πΏπ Including the travel time, if you have around an hour to wait for your train, it's definitely worth coming here to take a stroll π #Kyoto πΏ#HiddenShrine πΏ#AutumnScenery π
