Today's Double Check-in: Greensboro Science Center + Thai Station

My weekend joy was made complete by these two spots! One is a fun venue for kids to burn off energy, and the other is a Thai restaurant that satisfies the taste buds—fulfilling and healing all at once~😆 Fun Section: Greensboro Science Center Greensboro Science Center, which never fails to surprise me with new joys every time I visit, didn’t disappoint again this time! It cleverly combines a dinosaur hall, aquarium, and zoo into one place, allowing you to unlock multiple experiences in a single visit—absolute "happy planet" for kids🌍. As soon as we entered, we headed straight to the dinosaur area. The lifelike dinosaur models, paired with simulated jungle sounds, instantly transported us back to prehistoric times~ My kid stared wide-eyed at the T-Rex that shook its head and wagged its tail, even reaching out cautiously to touch the model’s "skin" while murmuring, "The dinosaur is so big!"🦖 Next, we went to the aquarium. Colorful tropical fish darted through the transparent tanks, and chubby jellyfish floated gently with the current. My kid leaned against the glass, chasing the school of fish and waving their hands excitedly🐠. The most anticipated zoo area is hidden outdoors, where you can see playful monkeys leaping between tree branches, majestic tigers strolling slowly, and cute alpacas leaning over hoping for snacks~ But a word of caution! The mosquitoes outdoors are incredibly vicious🦟. We got bitten multiple times for not wearing mosquito repellent, so make sure to take precautions in advance when visiting here—no matter how beautiful the scenery is, it won’t be worth the itch! Food Section: Thai Station (located in Chapel Hill) After tiring ourselves out from playing, we definitely needed to recharge with good food! We checked out Thai Station in Chapel Hill, and were immediately won over by this plate of Pad See Ew🍜! The wide rice noodles were stir-fried evenly with a glossy coating of rich sauce, and the beef slices were tender but not tough, with a light charred aroma when bitten into. Paired with crisp bean sprouts and onions, every bite was bursting with savory flavor—it perfectly replicated authentic Thai taste, and I couldn’t stop after two bowls~ Besides Pad See Ew, the fried tofu and spring rolls were also amazing! The fried tofu had a golden, crispy outer layer and a soft, pudding-like interior. Dipped in sweet and sour Thai chili sauce, the crispy exterior and tender inside were absolutely delicious🥢; the spring rolls had paper-thin skins—biting into them revealed a hearty filling of vegetables and minced meat, with a crispy crunch and an instant burst of aroma in the mouth. Even my kid, who usually dislikes spring rolls, was scrambling for more~ This Thai meal swept away all the tiredness from our outing in an instant, leaving us with a huge sense of happiness!😋 #Greensboro #NCFamilyFun #ScienceCenterAdventure
