Today's Visit Left Me Both Happy and Sad!
Taco Taco has been renamed El Charro Tio. The original owner of Taco Taco has finally retired. The interior of the restaurant has been completely renovated — fresh, modern, and full of new energy.✨ I’m genuinely happy for the owner I’ve known for years — she’s earned her retirement, and it seems she secured a good deal with the new tenant/restaurant. All these changes happened within the last 30 to 60 days.❤️ Today, I went for lunch and felt a little sad that I couldn’t see her one more time or chat for a bit. But I’m also glad to see the space moving forward in a positive way. The new restaurant served me some delicious tacos 🌮 — definitely try the Braised Beef Taco and Beef Fajitas — both were fantastic! The original owner would surely be proud of how the legacy lives on with such tasty food and renewed spirit.❤️ Even with a new name and look, the soul of the place still feels familiar — a tribute to good food, good memories, and new beginnings.✨ Here’s to change, flavor, and honoring what came before. 🫶🌮 #ElCharroTio #TacoTaco #SanAntonioEats #NewBeginnings #FoodMemories #MexicanFood
