Togetsu Bridge 🌿
Spanning the Oi River in Arashiyama, many years ago, on a cloudless night, the slow-moving moon🌙 above the bridge seemed like a pedestrian🚶♂️ walking from one end to the other, which is how the bridge got its name. 🌸🍃 This bridge divides the river below into the Oi River and the Katsura River. It used to be a popular spot for the royal nobility to enjoy boat rides and admire the autumn leaves🍁. The Togetsu Bridge we see today is actually the reconstructed version. 🌸🍃 It was once damaged by floods, and it wasn't until 1934 that a local tycoon spent a fortune to rebuild it with concrete. However, to maintain its aesthetic appeal, the bridge's railings are still made of wood. 🌸🍃 There are also many rickshaw drivers along the road, some of whom are local volunteers offering free rides. #Kyoto 🌇🌟
