Top 3 Most Affordable Japanese Restaurants in London
I swung by Camden Town Market and finally visited this highly recommended, budget-friendly Japanese restaurant. It's just a few minutes' walk from the market. The interior features a cozy tatami style, and on weekdays, they even offer a Japanese buffet for just £26.8! 🍱 🐟 Unagi Don (Eel Rice Bowl) The eel was incredibly tender, perfectly grilled, and paired with a sweet yet not cloying sauce. It was an absolute match made in heaven! The rice was fragrant, with each grain distinct and even more delicious once it absorbed the sauce. 🍖 🍣 Salsa Platter (Sashimi Platter) The sashimi platter was huge and incredibly satisfying, all freshly prepared by the chef. Great value for money! It included salmon, sweet shrimp, scallops, and fatty tuna, all looking like perfect emojis. There were also some mini sushi rolls on the side. 🍣 🍱 Oyako Don (Chicken and Egg Rice Bowl) The fried pork cutlet was surrounded by a layer of soft, pan-fried egg. It was crispy on the outside and tender inside, filling yet not greasy. The bowl was deep rather than wide, which made it even more satisfying. Haha! 🍔 🍤 Tempura Platter Each piece of tempura was perfectly fried—crispy and golden on the outside, light and not greasy. There was a good variety of vegetables, and the ingredients inside retained their natural flavors. The combination of tender textures and crispy coatings was flawless. 🍤 I overheard a regular customer saying that the sake here is also excellent and comes in a wide variety. I'll definitely try it next time! 🥂 💡 Sushi Salsa 💡 Average cost: £25-35 (non-buffet, depending on your appetite) #JapaneseCuisine #FoodDiary #FoodieAdventures #UK #BritishFood #London #PrettyFood #Sushi
