Top French Restaurant in Seattle — Maximilien
🥰Hidden within Pike Place Market, Maximilien is a classic French restaurant in Seattle — a true hidden gem. Just head under the big Pike Place Market sign, go past the fish market, and enter through the door on the left. The restaurant has two floors, and I recommend sitting on the first floor. The second floor is a loft, but the view isn’t as good as downstairs. 🌿My favorite main course is the scallops (though that might be because I just love scallops in general). The scallops are large, sweet, and paired with a slightly sweet pea purée that’s absolutely amazing. 🩷The butternut squash soup is super creamy and wonderfully seasoned. It’s a soup of the day, so it’s not always available. ✨The steak and fries are both solid. The steak pictured here is the filet mignon — the meat itself and the sauce are excellent, best ordered medium or medium-rare. 🩵The escargots are tender, and I appreciate that they’re served without the shells (since some French restaurants reuse them — no thanks!). After finishing the escargots, don’t forget to dip your baguette into the leftover garlic herb oil — it’s the best part. #Seattle#travelguide#SeattleRestaurant#fooddiary#Seattlefood#Seattleguide
