Daveβs Fresh Pasta ππ₯ͺ π 81 Holland St, Somerville, MA 02144 (near Davis Square) π Closed Sundays & Mondays This is a cozy Italian grocery store known for its fresh pasta and delicious sandwiches. The sandwiches are absolutely tasty β I canβt wait to try their pasta next! π Fresh Pasta First, choose your pasta flavor, type, and thickness, then tell the staff the weight you want. A typical serving is 1/3 lb per person for regular pasta, and 1/2 lb for ravioli. (I totally missed the sign and ended up buying 2 lbs! π) Theyβll also ask if youβre eating it that night β if yes, itβs packed in a paper bag; if not, it goes in plastic. Options range from basic egg pasta to more fancy ones like squid ink or herb flavor. There are also fresh sauces sold nearby to pair with your pasta. π₯ͺ Sandwiches Pick your sandwich flavor, choose your bread, and decide if you want it grilled. (The kitchen staff looked super busy grilling sandwiches β literally non-stop! π₯) We tried the classic Brazilian Hangover Helper and the daily special The Problem. Personally, The Problem was the winner π β flavorful, juicy seasoned chicken paired perfectly with cheese and bacon, with caramelized onions adding a touch of sweetness. We chose ciabatta bread, which was nicely toasted and crispy. π‘ Ordering Tips Sandwich Order: Place your order at the leftmost register. Checkout: Go to the glass enclosure near the dessert display. Pasta Order: Head to the dedicated pasta counter. Pasta Checkout: After the staff prepares your order, scan the barcode on the bag and pay at the glass enclosure. (My first time here was pretty confusing β I was wandering around like a headless chicken! ππ΅) On the way, we also tried Honeycomb π¦. Their matcha oat latte flavor was disappointing β super icy and not creamy. But my friendβs Thai tea and banana rum flavors weredelicious! π π¬ #Bostoneats #FreshPasta #SandwichLovers #DavisSquare #FoodieFinds #HiddenGems
