Beauport, Sleeper-McCann House 🏰🌺 📍75 Eastern Point Blvd, Gloucester, MA 01930 📅 Open from May 24 – October 18 🕐 Wednesday – Saturday | Tours every 30 minutes | 10 AM – 3 PM (Last tour at 3 PM) ✅ Advance booking recommended 🅿️ Parking: Drive directly to the entrance. You might see brown signs saying “Resident Only” on the way — just ignore them! This place is absolutely stunning 😍, especially recommended for interior design lovers! The Sleeper-McCann House was the summer home of Henry Davis Sleeper, one of America’s first professional interior designers. This house was like his giant playground 🧸 — construction began in 1907 and kept expanding until his death, eventually becoming a maze-like mansion with over 40 rooms full of surprises! Each room has a unique style and theme, designed to evoke different emotions. The garden is also charming 🌿🌼 — wild, natural, and largely preserved in its 1920s–30s layout. The flowers aren’t rare varieties but are chosen to harmonize with the architectural style. Best of all, the garden is free to enter — no ticket needed! The guide even said you can picnic or enjoy a drink here 🧺🥂. Can you imagine how lucky people living nearby are? On August 30, there will be a fireworks event here — “Watch Gloucester’s annual Schooner Festival fireworks from Beauport’s terrace and lawn!” 🎆✨ ⏳ Recommend planning extra time. We walked in at 12:10 PM and were scheduled for the 1 PM tour. The 12:30 tour was delayed due to low attendance. The full tour lasts about an hour and is so engaging — time flies! Note: No food or drinks are allowed inside 🚫🍔🥤. The house is also about a 20-minute drive from the town center, so it’s best to eat beforehand. 🏷️ #BeauportHouse #GloucesterMA #HistoricHomes #InteriorDesign #BostonDayTrip #GardensOfNewEngland
