Toronto’s 4.9-Rated Mexican Restaurant That Takes Seafood Seriously…

Remember earlier this year when I came back from Cancun craving Mexican food like crazy? I ended up discovering a few then-under-the-radar authentic Mexican spots in Toronto and ate so well I finally got over it… But now that it’s summer, my Mexican cravings are back — so I revisited one of my faves. I especially love their signature cocktails! 🍹 Very true to Mexican flavors. And guess what? They’ve launched lots of new dishes, including my beloved beef intestine tacos AND tons of seafood options. (I originally came for tacos, but then I spotted this luxurious seafood boil on the menu — 😍) It’s rare to find a seafood boil at a Mexican restaurant! This one’s huge — meant for at least 4 people. $149 including two cocktails. But since there were only two of us, we couldn’t order it… until the manager said they could make us a HALF portion! For $75, we got a giant bag filled with: 🦀 Snow crab 🦐 Dozens of tiger shrimp 🐚 Mussels, clams 🐙 Octopus 🥚 Eggs, potatoes (The full version also includes lobster tail, sausage, and oysters.) The special spicy sauce was deeply infused into the seafood — everything was super fresh, and the tiger shrimp were huge and bouncy! The only downside was it got saltier as we ate — already gave feedback, hoping they improve! We loved both cocktails we ordered 🥹 🦜 Mictlán (served in a parrot cup!) — Mezcal with mango, orange, and passionfruit. Refreshing and sweet, perfect for summer. 🍹 Sangaria — pretty, light, and paired perfectly with the seafood boil. Finally — I have to say, this is one of the cleanest and most authentically decorated Mexican spots I’ve been to in Toronto. Highly recommend! 📍 La Chuperia 635 College St, Toronto #TorontoFood #MexicanCuisine #SeafoodBoil #TacoTuesday #HiddenGem
