Toronto Day Trip | Fine Dining in a Historic Manor - Langdon Hall
For a perfect weekend getaway, we headed to Langdon Hall - ranked #15 on Canada's Top 100 Restaurants and a Michelin-recommended spot! Just an hour's drive from Richmond Hill, it's ideal for a family day trip. We started with a stroll through charming Cambridge town along the Grand River (so peaceful with barely any crowds - quintessential Canadian countryside vibes!). Instead of the tasting menu, we ordered à la carte - and every dish was stellar: 🦢 Foie Gras Silky smooth with tangy raspberry jam, served with pillowy warm buns and fragrant butter 🍣 Trout Decorated with edible flowers and cucumbers from their partner farm, dusted with a unique plum-like spice 🍛 Risotto A generous appetizer with a twist - leek pesto instead of cream (that vibrant green color!) 🥩 Beef Short Rib Fall-apart tender, paired with fresh black truffle (harvested weekly from their farm) 🐟 Cod Buttery-soft with a delightful sweet & sour potato foam 🍔 Cheese Burger (Kids Menu) Surprisingly gourmet! Pickles and cauliflower cut through the richness Desserts: 🍰 Chocolate Cake - Beautiful but very sweet 🫐 Blueberry Pie - With an ultra-thin, crisp crust ✨ The Details: Tablescapes: Each table has unique fresh flowers Plating: Edible art on every dish Grounds: Post-meal garden walks feel like being in France (and make for amazing photos!) 💡 Insider Tip: Their staycation package (from $900/night) includes dinner + breakfast - and access to that famous spa I've seen all over Instagram! #LangdonHall #MichelinEats #TorontoDayTrips
