Toronto Northside Brunch Guide | Hits & Misses Rated

Calling all brunch lovers! Here’s my no-BS review of northern GTA’s brunch spots (DT guide coming soon—too many to tackle!). 📍North York 1️⃣ Cafe Lander (Mediterranean chain) ✅ Beef Sausage Shakshuka: Tangy tomato stew with perfectly runny eggs + fresh salad & bread ✅ Nutella Coffee: Sweet hazelnut hug in a cup ⭐ 4.5/5 2️⃣ Cafe N One (Asian fusion, 2 locations) ❌ Smoked Salmon Croissant: Forgettable (croissant = dry) ✅ Tiramisu Coffee: Balanced, not too sweet ✅ Mushroom Sandwich: Buttery bread + earthy fillings ✅ Matcha Soufflé: Instagrammable pour-your-own matcha sauce ⭐ 4/5 📍Markham 1️⃣ Espresso 21 (Italian OG in Unionville) ✅ Carbonara: Cheese-coated al dente pasta = comfort food ✅ Smoked Salmon Benny: Solid, not groundbreaking ✅ Charcoal Gelato: Massive portion (shareable!) ⭐ 4/5 2️⃣ Next Door (Overhyped Unionville spot) ✅ Brunch Tower: Pretty but mediocre (good for groups) ❌ Duck Confit Pancake: "Sour batter" disaster → returned! ⭐ 3/5 (Generous for the vibe) 3️⃣ Alchemy Coffee (Dark horse!) ✅ Duck Confit Benny: Crispy duck shreds + poached eggs = MVP ❌ Matcha Latte: Skip it ⭐ 4.5/5 📍Richmond Hill 1️⃣ Chillax Coffee (Brunch royalty!) ✅ Eggs Benedict: Smoked duck breast > char siu > salmon ✅ Salmon Salad: Fresh counterpart to rich bennys ⚠️ Ramen: Edible but why? ⭐ 5/5 (Flawless execution) #TorontoBrunch #EatLikeALocal
