Toronto Weekend Getaway|2-Day Muskoka Trip 🚂🎅🏻

Life in the city is hectic, so taking a quick getaway to unwind is a must! 😂 This time, I took my daughter to Muskoka, just over two hours north of Toronto, for a fun little adventure~ Two Days, One Night – Our first day was packed, mainly because we went on a weekend. Originally, we planned to ride the steam train on Sunday, but the day before, I realized it only runs from Wednesday to Saturday (except for the museum). Since we already bought tickets for Santa’s Village, we had to squeeze everything into one day, even though it wasn’t the most efficient route. 😂 📍 First Stop: Pit Break in Orillia (~1.5-hour drive) We stopped at the train-themed Starbucks ☕️ and the famous Webers Burgers 🍔 (always has a long line!). We arrived around 10:30-10:45 AM, and luckily, there wasn’t much of a queue yet. But by the time we left, the line was crazy long—this place is seriously popular! You can eat inside the old train carriage or at outdoor tables. After the meal, we grabbed coffee at Starbucks and took some photos. 📍 Second Stop: Muskoka Heritage Place Steam Train 🚂 (~45 mins to Huntsville) The train runs only four times a day (12 PM, 1 PM, 2 PM, 3 PM). Arriving early lets you catch the previous train pulling into the station. Tickets can be bought on-site, and there’s a small museum inside. Parking 🅿️ is right across the street. ⚠️ Important Note: The steam train does NOT operate on Sundays & Mondays (only the museum is open). I didn’t check properly, so our itinerary got messed up—Huntsville was supposed to be a Day 2 stop! 😂 📍 Third Stop: Santa’s Village 🎅🏻 We didn’t have much time here, but since my daughter isn’t into extreme rides anyway, it worked out. 😆 If you’re bringing kids, plan more time—everything closes super early (around 4-5 PM). 🤦🏻‍♀️ 📍 Dinner in Huntsville: Gangnam Korea 🇰🇷 After a day of burgers and fries 🍕🍟, my Chinese stomach needed real food! This Korean restaurant was decent—not cheaper than Toronto, but tasty 😋, clean, and cozy. Then, back to Holiday Inn 🏨 to rest. A full and satisfying Day 1! ✌🏻 ✨ Travel Tips: If it’s your first time, split the steam train and Santa’s Village over two days—it’s tight otherwise! Steam train is closed Sun & Mon, so plan accordingly! Webers Burgers is worth the hype, but go early to avoid lines! 🍔 Webers 🚂 Muskoka Heritage Place 🎅🏻 Santa's Village: Muskoka's Theme Park 🍱 Gangnam Korea #TorontoWeekendGetaway #TorontoDayTrips #TorontoKidsActivities
