Travelο½Maine Coastal Escape ππ
Starting from Montreal, Canada π¨π¦, we embarked on a scenic road trip through Maineβs charming coastal towns: Nubble Lighthouse β Ogunquit β Cape Neddick β Portland π Nubble Lighthouse Maineβs most iconic lighthouse! ποΈβ Loved its isolated, almost apocalyptic vibe β perfect for moody photos. π Ogunquit, ME β Marginal Walkway β Breathtaking coastal views! Even in the drizzle, the serenity was palpable. βπ β Pekins Cove Candy β Great for families! Handmade chocolates and toffees. π« β Pekins Cove Pottery Shop β Artistic mugs and tableware with a rustic, earthy feel β surprisingly lightweight! π¨ β Kikis β Cool hoodie designs in stylish fall colors (hello, maroon & tan! π§₯π). β Uniques & Antiques β Fun Christmas decor and vintage treasures! ππ β Bridgefoot Lobster β THE BEST lobster roll ever! π¦π₯ No seating, but worth it: 5oz of fresh lobster meat with a light butter-mayo blend. Also loved the local blueberry soda! π« (PS: Tried Maine Bite later β meh.) β The Knotty Sailor β Best souvenir spot! Near the entrance, cheaper than in-park shops. Great magnet selection! β€οΈ π ΏοΈ Parking Tips: Closest spots: $15/3 hours (rarely available). Barnacle Billyβs: $25 (cash only). Municipal lot: $20 (a bit farther). π Cape Neddick A quick stop on the way to Portland! ποΈ This cute town has beaches, parks, and quirky little shops β worth a slow drive-through. π¨ Best Western Merry Manor Inn An older 3-star hotel, but great value! β Free breakfast + prime location near attractions and downtown. π Trader Joeβs & Whole Foods Why? Because we donβt have them in Montreal! πποΈ #Maine #VisitMaine #MontrealToMaine #PortlandME #LighthouseChasing #CoastalVibes
