Travel๏ฝMaine Coastal Escape ๐๐
Starting from Montreal, Canada ๐จ๐ฆ, we embarked on a scenic road trip through Maineโs charming coastal towns: Nubble Lighthouse โ Ogunquit โ Cape Neddick โ Portland ๐ Nubble Lighthouse Maineโs most iconic lighthouse! ๐๏ธโ Loved its isolated, almost apocalyptic vibe โ perfect for moody photos. ๐ Ogunquit, ME โ Marginal Walkway โ Breathtaking coastal views! Even in the drizzle, the serenity was palpable. โ๐ โ Pekins Cove Candy โ Great for families! Handmade chocolates and toffees. ๐ซ โ Pekins Cove Pottery Shop โ Artistic mugs and tableware with a rustic, earthy feel โ surprisingly lightweight! ๐จ โ Kikis โ Cool hoodie designs in stylish fall colors (hello, maroon & tan! ๐งฅ๐). โ Uniques & Antiques โ Fun Christmas decor and vintage treasures! ๐๐ โ Bridgefoot Lobster โ THE BEST lobster roll ever! ๐ฆ๐ฅ No seating, but worth it: 5oz of fresh lobster meat with a light butter-mayo blend. Also loved the local blueberry soda! ๐ซ (PS: Tried Maine Bite later โ meh.) โ The Knotty Sailor โ Best souvenir spot! Near the entrance, cheaper than in-park shops. Great magnet selection! โค๏ธ ๐ ฟ๏ธ Parking Tips: Closest spots: $15/3 hours (rarely available). Barnacle Billyโs: $25 (cash only). Municipal lot: $20 (a bit farther). ๐ Cape Neddick A quick stop on the way to Portland! ๐๏ธ This cute town has beaches, parks, and quirky little shops โ worth a slow drive-through. ๐จ Best Western Merry Manor Inn An older 3-star hotel, but great value! โ Free breakfast + prime location near attractions and downtown. ๐ Trader Joeโs & Whole Foods Why? Because we donโt have them in Montreal! ๐๐๏ธ #Maine #VisitMaine #MontrealToMaine #PortlandME #LighthouseChasing #CoastalVibes
