Travel | A Summer Trip to Albania~sarande

🧐I made plans with friends quite early on, searching on TikTok for cheap and fun places near Europe, and Albania popped up. The cost of living is lower than in Europe, and it's perfect for a relaxing vacation by lying on the beach all day in the summer. The street shops are open until midnight or even 1 am, which I haven't seen in France. ❣️We went to Saranda in the south of Albania. If you're going to the northern cities, you can fly directly from Paris. 🧐We flew from France to Corfu Island in Greece, and then took a ferry. The ferry ride takes about half an hour to an hour and a half, and the price is about 20.30 euros per person. 🧩From Corfu, Greece to Albania, European SIM cards charge extra here. The currency is a mix of euros and the local Albanian lek, with a simple conversion of 1 to 100. There's no need to exchange money in advance, but there are ATMs everywhere, and each transaction fee is about 6 to 8 euros. 👍The food here is about 10 euros per person on average. During our week here, we ate a lot of feta and seafood, but I didn't find the seafood exceptionally delicious. 🧐Coming here in early August is quite hot, around 35 degrees Celsius, but if you arrange beach activities every day and play in the water, it's okay. All hotels and shops have air conditioning, so friends who fear heat don't have to worry. ❣️If you want some extra activities, like a day out at sea, four of us booked a yacht for about 60 euros per person, from 10 am to 4 pm, with two to three hours on an island at noon for lunch and lying on the beach. If you want something cheaper, you can go on a big boat with many people for about 30 euros. There are many yacht companies at the port of Saranda where you can inquire about prices and book. ⚠️A tip: Many shops, restaurants, and entertainment facilities here only accept cash, and you can pay with euros or the local currency lek. Card payments are almost impossible except in large hotels and shops. Taxis from the port to the hotel are generally around twenty euros, and for further places, you can consider buses or take a taxi for forty to fifty euros. 🧐This place has suddenly become a popular tourist destination in the first year, so many facilities and systems are still improving. #Albania #My Travel Diary #Recommended Check-in Places #Must-Go
