Travel | The Kiss Sculpture in San Diego ππ
π Location: 43-99 Tuna Ln, San Diego, CA 92101 Parking around this area is notoriously difficult β we hit major traffic and eventually parked at a paid lot near a hotel about a 10-12 minute walk away ππ¨. Pro tip: Use apps like SpotHero or ParkMobile to pre-book nearby public parking and save time! The Unconditional Surrender Statue (commonly known as βThe Kissβ) is one of San Diegoβs most beloved photo landmarks πΈβ€οΈ. Dressing in a similar vintage white dress would make for a super cute nostalgic shot πβ¨. Right beside it stands the impressive USS Midway Museum β a massive decommissioned aircraft carrier turned interactive museum π’ποΈ. We visited the day before July 4th, and the ship was jammed with visitors π₯π β so we decided to enjoy the views from the waterfront instead. We strolled along the harbor, watched sailboats glide by β΅, and captured lots of photos with the skyline and bay in the background ππ. ποΈ Museum Info (If You Go): Hours: 10 AM - 5 PM daily Tickets: ~$31 per adult | Discounts for seniors, military, kids Highlights: Flight simulators, audio tours, 30+ restored aircraft π©οΈ Best time: Weekday mornings for smaller crowds π Around the Area: Seaport Village ποΈ: Cute shops + eateries 5 mins away Waterfront Park ποΈ: Great for picnics and skyline views Tuna Harbor Park π£: Historic ships + photo ops #TheKiss #SanDiego #USSMidway #WaterfrontViews #TravelCalifornia #IconicPhotoSpots #FamilyTravel #SouthernCalifornia
