A long-overdue travel log from my January trip to Fiji! ☁️ Weather Mother Nature wasn’t on our side—mostly cloudy and rainy 🌧️, but still magical! ✈️ Itinerary New Zealand 🇳🇿 → Nadi → Suva (flight + short domestic hop) Suva → Nadi Road Trip 🚗 (3.5 hours of scenic driving) 🏙️ Suva (3 Days, 2 Nights) 🏨 Stayed at Holiday Inn Explored: University of the South Pacific 🎓 Fiji Museum 🏺 (so much history!) Local Markets & Suva Park 🍍🌿 Cheap Parking Alert! 🅿️ Only $0.20 FJD for 15 mins 😱 Must-Try: The windowless local buses 🚌 (they pull down rain curtains when it pours—so fun!) Food Love: Fijian cuisine with coconut-infused seafood 🥥🦞. Plus, pineapples & papayas were insanely sweet this season! 🏝️ Nadi & Island Hopping 🏨 Resort Life: Best to stay inside a resort for convenience (many have their own piers for island trips). No resort stay? No problem! If you have a rental car, you can still access resort facilities—genius! 🌊 Island Escape: Chose Tivua Island (1.5-hour boat ride, $249 FJD/pax) Includes: Lunch, snorkeling, kayaking (extra for diving/spa) Crystal-clear water 💎—even in the rain! Popular alternatives: South Sea Island & Mala Mala (closer, bigger, ~30 mins by boat). 🍽️ Food Highlights: Feasted at Dong Sheng Seafood Restaurant 🦞🦀 (lobster & coconut crab—no regrets!). #FijiDiaries #IslandLife #TravelGram #Wanderlust
