Travel guide from Mirissa to Colombo

🌟6:30 AM | Mirissa's Dawn: Whale Watching A must-do in Mirissa is the whale watching activity! I had booked it in advance at the hotel the day before, and at 6:30 AM, a Tuk Tuk picked me up to take me to the dock for 13,500 rupees (about a 4-hour trip). I encountered a double rainbow 🌈🌈, and although I didn't see any whales, I saw a pod of dolphins, which was incredibly healing! Tips: β€’ The boat provides simple meals: burgers, cakes, mineral water, and bananas, which are enough to satisfy your hunger~ β€’ The boat can be quite rocky, wear slippers, and make sure to apply sunscreen, otherwise, your skin will definitely get sunburned! Remember to wear comfortable and lightweight clothing. 🌟10:30 AM | Visiting Galle Fort After the whale watching activity, I took a taxi to Galle, which cost about 4,000 rupees via Uber. Galle Fort is a must-visit historical site, with the blue sky and white clouds contrasting against the ancient stone walls, making it perfect for taking great photos! Restaurant recommendation: β€’ Bungalow Restaurant: You must come here at noon, their burgers and crab dishes are highly recommended! The taste is excellent, and the environment is very chic, a perfect place to recharge energy. 🌟3:00 PM | Train 8015: Stunning Sunset Around 3:00 PM, board the 8015 train and don't miss the scenery from this journey! You can see the magnificent coastline along the way, which is especially suitable for enjoying the sunset. The combination of the setting sun and the blue sea is so beautiful that it's hard to blink. Ticket price: 600, second class tickets can be bought on the spot. 🌟6:30 PM | Colombo Lobster and Crab Feast When you arrive in Colombo, be sure to arrange a luxurious crab and lobster feast for dinner! I chose Ministry of Crab, a Michelin three-star restaurant, the perfect choice to celebrate the end of the trip. Tips: β€’ The restaurant accepts UnionPay cards and cash. β€’ It is recommended to make a reservation on the official website via WeChat in advance. I made a last-minute reservation and the seat was not very good, but the food was still superb with a high cost-performance ratio! #Mirissa#Colombo#trip diary#Sri lanka#sun set#Galle fort#Whale Watching
