Travel to the Least Populated Island in Japan: Okinoshima

I have to say, there are very few guides on Okinoshima online, and I came here with a try-it-out mentality, but I was truly amazed by the beautiful scenery! It's definitely worth it! ๐Ÿ“ Location: Okinoshima is located in Shimane Prefecture, Japan, and is said to be the least populated place in the country. It consists of two areas, Shima-mae and Shima-ushiro, with OKI Okinoshima, Nishinoshima Saishu Island, Chibu Chifuyu Island, and Ama Kaicho Island. You can explore in-depth on one island or choose to island-hop. ๐Ÿ›ฅ๏ธ Transportation: Osaka-Okinoshima โœˆ๏ธ: Departing from Osaka, there are direct small flights that can carry about thirty people, and it takes about an hour to arrive, which is very convenient. Inter-island โ›ด๏ธ: There are ferries between the islands, and it is recommended to download an app called OKI Ferry Guide to check the real-time ferry schedules between the islands, which is very convenient. Island transportation ๐Ÿšฒ: You can rent bicycles on the island for casual exploration, call a taxi, or choose from sightseeing buses and sightseeing taxis. It is recommended to visit the tourist center first and ask the staff there for help with reservations. ๐Ÿ๏ธ Scenery: Each island has many beautiful spots to visit, and I personally recommend the following: Saishu Island ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ Kokka Coast, Morotsubaki, Tsuuhashi Bridge, Akao Lookout Point... breathtaking scenery. Okinoshima ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ Shirajima Coast, Jodoura Coast, Chibune Cedar, Tamayaki Shrine... Kaicho ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ Ento Hotel, Akayama Coast, Okinoshima Shrine Chifuyu Island ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ Chihoku Cliffs (recommended to view by boat) ๐Ÿก Accommodation: ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ Amazing! There is a very famous geological hotel, Ento, which usually requires reservations 1-2 months in advance. The rooms have large floor-to-ceiling windows facing the sea, perfect for watching sunrises, sunsets, and starry skies! The hotel also arranges night cruises to see glowing fish and bonfire activities, so remember to sign up! ps. Ento dinner is also highly recommended, with a chef from Fiji who uses local island ingredients to create exquisite dishes, each one delicious! ๐Ÿ˜‹ #TravelScenery #OffTheBeatenPath #Tourism #Guide #JapanTravel
