Traveling to Spain 🇪🇸: A Must-Visit to the Ancient Capital, Toledo

Toledo and Segovia, the twin towns around Madrid, are both places I love. They are two medieval towns with distinct styles. Toledo was once the capital of Spain 🇪🇸, where Moors and Jews have left their traces of activity. Here, you can see a variety of different styles of historical sites, including Gothic, Baroque, Moorish, and Byzantine. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a Spanish town I have visited three times. ✅ Transportation Tips 🚞🚌🚄 There are two ways to get to the town from Madrid: high-speed train 🚄 and bus 🚌. The time difference is not significant, but the train is twice as expensive as the bus. I recommend taking the bus. Alsa buses depart from Plaza Elíptica every 30 minutes or so, with the last bus at 11 PM, which is sufficient for a day trip to and from Madrid. ✅ Top 9 Must-See Places in Toledo 1️⃣ Toledo Cathedral A landmark, built in the 13th century, it's photogenic from all angles. 2️⃣ Puerta de Bisagra One of the ancient city gates, it's recommended to walk from here to the Puerta del Sol and the viewpoint across the street. 3️⃣ Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes 4️⃣ Church of Santa María la Blanca A former synagogue, the interior is all pure white and very photogenic. 5️⃣ Church of Santo Tomé, which houses a famous painting. 6️⃣ Alcázar of Toledo A former royal palace and the largest building in Toledo. 7️⃣ Mirador del Valle It's recommended to come here before sunset and stay until it gets dark; it's very impressive and beautiful. 8️⃣ El Greco Museum Museo del Greco 9️⃣ San Martín Bridge / Puente de Alcántara The former is a medieval bridge, and the latter is a Roman stone bridge. ✅ Food Guide El Trébol, a Tabas restaurant on the cliff. Recommended dishes include stewed beef, Iberian roast pork, and venison meatballs. #Madrid #LifeInMadrid #MadridTravel #Toledo #SpainTravel #SpanishTravel #Seville #SevilleTravelGuide #NationalDayPlan #GlobalTravel #TravelEditorial #NationalDayAffordableGuide #NationalDaySlowTravel #NationalDayFoodDiary #ScenesFromTheSpotlight
