✅ Check out - Itinerary below 👇🏼 📍Toledo is a great day trip if you are visiting Madrid. It is only a 30-minute train ride. 🏰 Beauty of Toledo is in its gothic and Medieval architecture, it really makes you think you are on the set of Game of Thrones. Definitely an amazing destination, not to miss!! 📌 Cucharadepalo for quick breakfast – coffee and breakfast sandwich for 2.50. I had smoked salmon sandwich, was so good! They have an outside shaded area, which is where we ate. 📌 Puente de San Martín – famous bridge to enter Toledo, you will feel like a knight walking on the bridge into the gates of the city 📌 Alcázar 📌 Walk around and simply get lost in the city!! 📌Benipan for quick snack - we randomly stumbled on this tiny bakery – OMG WOW! The best chocolate croissant I have ever had!!! Came back half hour later for more, but it was sold out! 📌Catedral Primada – best example of gothic architecture in Spain, absolutely beautiful 📌Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes – really beautiful and a peaceful place 📌 Puerta del Sol – this is a northern city gate built at the end of the 14th century 📌 Taberna Skala for lunch. Some of our favorites were Iberian Jamon with bread, sangria, and beer. Delish! 📌 Mirador Del Valle – A viewpoint outside of the city that overlooks back at the gated Toledo. We hiked and it took us about 45 minutes (it was HOT)!! 📌 Roman thermal baths 📌 El Greco museum ✨Would you visit Toledo? ✨Where have you gone that you absolutely loved? ✨Follow for more travel tips @travelswithmr #damestravel #passionpassport #darlingescapes #travel #city #beautifulcity #travelbucketlist #travelinpiration #beautifuldestinations #sheisnotlost #europe #spain #toledo #visittoledo #gothic #medieval #got #gameofthrones #castles #cathedral #church #synagogue #mosque #spring #summer #2023

The Mirador del Valle in Toledo, Spain, offers a breathtaking panoramic view that is nothing short of awe-inspiring. During our family visit in January 2024, we were captivated by the stunning vistas of the historic city, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The viewpoint, easily accessible, served as an ideal starting point for our walk around Toledo. The history of the city was palpable, with its blend of Christian, Islamic, and Jewish influences evident in the architecture. We took numerous photos, each one capturing the unique charm of the city from different angles. The Mirador del Valle not only provided a scenic backdrop but also served as a gateway to immerse ourselves in Toledo's rich cultural heritage. Our experience was made all the more enjoyable by the well-maintained facilities and the friendly locals. The visit was a highlight of our trip, offering a profound appreciation for the historical significance and natural beauty of Toledo. I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to the Mirador del Valle for anyone seeking a memorable and enriching experience.

This was a beautiful place and a great look out. If you are coming without a tour, definitely worth it. Get here before 10 and you have the place to yourself. However, be warned that the bus google tells you to take indicates you get off earlier than you need to. We ended up walking up a hill on the side of the road because of this error. The bus in Toledo are great, just in this case pay attention to the stops and how much you have to walk. The bus we took passed us on the way down. Note: 1.40€ is the price is a ticket and can be bought on the bus with cash. 4 stars is because of the directions google gave.

GET HERE FOR JUST 1.40 EUR PER PERSON from Toledo. There's a bus L71 (Or just 71) that goes from the town to Mirador viewpoint, it starts from Alcazar and stops in some other spots around the town. Google will show you that this line goes to the hospital and that's it. In reality, it does go there, then turns around and heads straight to this view point and then back to town, approx every 45 mins. So you'll have plenty of time to watch the view. Don't forget to click the stop button on the bus. Got this information from our hotel and it really helped getting to the point instead of a 30 euro taxi.

It is perhaps the best location to view this wonderful hill-top city from distance. Declared an UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1986, Toledo is famous as the City of Three Cultures, which was the result of influences by Christians, Muslims and Jews. Served as the Capital of Ancient Visigothic Kingdom, It is also renowned as the "Imperial City". Located about 73 kms southwest of Madrid, Toledo is a very popular tourist destination. There are many day tours or half day tours conducted from Madrid. Highly recommended. One photo from me.
