Fodele is a small beautiful village 25klm west-north from Heraklion. Its known for oranges and as the birth village of famous renaissance painter El Greco (Domenico Theotokopoulos) . This is the museum that is located at the same place that his house were. It has inside copies of his paintings in a beautiful way with light at the back so the museum lights are low and this way you can enjoy more the greatness of his work.
