Trying Burmese Food in London for the First Time and Instantly Hooked
💰 Average Spend: £40💷 🍽️ Taste: ✔✔✔✔ Never had Burmese food in Hong Kong, but who would’ve thought I’d get to try it in London! Turns out Burmese cuisine is so delicious! The flavors are unique, with a blend of Southeast Asian spices that are mild and refreshing, offering a multi-layered taste that leaves you craving more! 🍽️ Menu Highlights: 〰️ 【Fried Bream】 This crispy yet tender fried bream, paired with sweet and sour tomatoes, green garlic, and soy sauce, topped with double-fried beans and crushed peanuts, is a must-try for its rich textures! 〰️ 【Tofu Nway】 A bowl of tofu noodle soup. The silky pea tofu soup mixed with noodles, served with pickles, tomato and star anise peas, tofu croutons, and sweet soy sauce, is both fragrant and packed with plant-based protein, making it a vegetarian delight. 〰️ 【Green Tomato Salad】 A fresh mix of green tomatoes with coriander, chili, scallion oil, and peanuts, this salad’s sour and spicy flavor is incredibly refreshing and appetizing, perfect for starting your meal. 🍃 Ambiance: ✔✔✔✔ The restaurant has a natural and elegant setting, with wooden furniture and green plants. The terrace is great for photos or small gatherings. The soft lighting at night adds to the romance. 👩🍳 Service: ✔✔✔✔ The staff are enthusiasm and professional, managing to explain the specialties of each dish even when the restaurant is packed (we went on a weekday and it was full, it’s super popular, and mostly locals dine here!). The dining experience was very enjoyable. #LondonFood #SoutheastAsianCuisine #BurmeseFood #LahpetReview #UKLifeShare #HiddenGems #GlobalEatsSquad #FromWaveToTongue #AmbientDinner #FoodieUniverse
