Trying out 36 Banquet|Great‑Value Lunch Set

🍽️ Came for the whole Peking duck lunch set Honestly, the whole duck for just $98 is what drew me in. Nowadays, duck alone often costs $70‑80+ — so this set already pays for itself with just the duck. 🦆 The duck: Solid, not disappointing, but not mind‑blowing either. Still, having a whole duck in the set makes it totally worth the price. 🍲 The real surprises came from the other dishes: 🐟 Golden sour‑pickle fish soup — really appetizing and perfect with rice! The broth is tangy but not sharp, fish slices are tender — the kind of dish you keep reaching for. 🍖 Clear‑braised beef short ribs — must praise this one! The broth is light but flavorful, ribs are fall‑apart tender, and the radishes soak up all the goodness — ideal with steamed rice. 🍲 Plus dishes like truffle shredded chicken, chilled tofu skin, and dry‑fried green beans — none felt like filler. ⚠️ Minor downsides: Rice came out late — we’d already eaten several dishes that go perfectly with rice before it arrived. Thought the set didn’t include rice — remind your server early if you want it sooner! Dessert was warm red bean soup, but it arrived a bit early and cooled down by the time we got to it. ✨ Final take: If you come for the duck, you won’t be disappointed — the set is substantial and satisfying. With friends, it comes out to under $30 per person, and you’ll leave stuffed. #LAFood #36Banquet #PekingDuckLunch #LunchSet #ChineseFoodLA 🦆🍚
