Trying Steamed Cypress-Smoked Duck & White Rock Blood Sausage! 🦆🌿
Went to Torrance to meet a friend and found this authentic Korean spot nearby. The restaurant is spacious and bright, with free plaza parking—super convenient! 🅿️✨ It was my first time trying steamed cypress-smoked duck—unexpectedly delicious! 🦆 Apparently, it’s a very traditional Korean dish, steamed slowly over low heat to lock in moisture. The duck was incredibly tender and juicy, especially with the special dipping sauce. 😋 And the white rock blood sausage? Honestly, the best I’ve had in my 10 years in LA! 🩸🍚 It looks similar to others, but the seasoning inside is special—also steamed with cypress wood—so soft and flavorful. We also ordered a lunch combo with cold noodles 🍜 and Galbi beef short ribs. The cold noodles were way more generous than at other places, and the Galbi had that perfect smoky, charred aroma. 🔥 This place is a true hidden gem—mostly locals and Koreans from the area. If you’re in Torrance or nearby, definitely give it a try! 🙌 Baek Am Korean Restaurant 📍 14952 Crenshaw Blvd, Gardena, CA 90249 Have you tried traditional Korean dishes like these?
