Tucson Food Review #11– Takamatsu 🍣πŸ”₯

If you’re craving both Japanese and Korean food β€” or can’t decide between sushi and BBQ β€” Takamatsu is the perfect spot! We chose this place because some of us wanted sushi 🍣, while others were in the mood for Korean barbecue πŸ–, and it totally delivered. The menu is huge: Sushi & sashimi 🍱 Japanese dishes (ramen, tempura, donburi) 🍜 Korean classics (BBQ, stews, bibimbap) πŸ₯˜ And yes β€” full Korean BBQ with table grills! πŸ”₯ We were seated in the BBQ section where each table has its own grill. You can also order sushi and other dishes while grilling your meat β€” perfect for groups with mixed cravings! πŸ₯— The complimentary salad was fresh and tangy β€” a nice start to the meal. πŸ¦‘ The grilled whole squid was a showstopper β€” came out full-sized and delicious! πŸ§€ We also loved the tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) β€” you can even add noodles to it. Highly recommend! πŸ’° Prices are reasonable, and portions are generous. A few notes: The restaurant can get smoky β€” that’s BBQ life! πŸ’¨ Choose marinated meats for more flavor. Some unmarinated cuts were bland and too thick. Some meat pieces were quite large and a bit tough β€” ask for scissors if needed βœ‚οΈ. Overall, it’s one of the few places in Tucson where you can enjoy both Japanese and Korean cuisines under one roof. Great for groups, dates, or when you just can’t choose! πŸ“ Address: 5532 E Speedway Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85712 #TakamatsuTucson #JapaneseFood #KoreanBBQ #SushiAndGrill #TucsonEats #FoodReview #GroupDining #AZFoodies πŸ₯©πŸ±
