Tucson Has More to Offer Than Just Saguaro π΅π΅
1. When you're on your way to Saguaro National Park, make sure to stop by San Xavier del Bac Mission (as shown in Figures 1, 2, and 3). ππΊοΈβͺ It's a Catholic church that was completed in 1797 and is the oldest intact European-style building in Arizona. πποΈπ Even though it can be quite sunny there, it's truly beautiful and makes for amazing pictures. And the best part is that it offers free admission. ππΈπ 2. Saguaro National Park is definitely worth a visit as well. After all, you can't find such a large number of giant cacti just anywhere. ππ΅ποΈ The cactus gummies sold at the visitor center are rather delicious. I bought some and took them back for my buddies to try. ππ¬π¬ However, the scenic drive loop in the western section of the park is a completely unpaved dirt road, which isn't friendly to cars with low ground clearance. I was driving my GR86 and could only move at a snail's pace. What's worse, the SUVs passing by kicked up so much dust that I ended up with a mouthful of it. πππ 3. In contrast, the roads in the eastern section are all paved. There are several overlooks that are perfect for watching the sunset, but the parking spaces are limited. ππ π ΏοΈ You need to plan ahead and arrive early if you want to secure a good spot to enjoy the beautiful sunset over the cacti. It's really a sight to behold and makes the whole trip even more memorable. πποΈπ #Arizona #AZ #Tucson #RoadTrip #USNationalPark
