🎥 Turin Must-See: National Museum of Cinema
If you're passionate about photography and cinema, this museum will surely resonate with your soul. 🏛️Located in the Turin Tower, the National Museum of Cinema in Turin is more than just a museum, or rather, it's not a museum in the conventional sense. As a cinema-themed museum, it houses nearly 1.8 million items, including films, documents, photographs, equipment and art pieces, posters, and recordings, making it one of the world's most precious collections. 🏛️When considering the value of its exhibits and the number of scientific and educational activities organized, this museum is undoubtedly one of the most important in the world. The idea of situating it within the Turin Tower, also known as the Mole Antonelliana, is a grand one, as the tower itself is a wonder, standing at 167 meters tall and being the tallest brick building in Europe, as well as a symbol of Turin. 🏛️The panoramic elevator is another attraction: it climbs to a height of 85 meters, offering views of the city and the surrounding landscape. Designer François Confino imaginatively integrated the exhibition halls within the tower, skillfully blending the museum with the structure of the spire. 🏛️You might find yourself disoriented by the labyrinthine routes of the museum, much like the intricate worlds of different films. Our lives are often influenced by or resonate with a few movies. During your visit, aside from the exhibits, all visitors become part of the cinema museum itself, becoming the scenery that makes up the entire exhibition. So, when visiting the National Museum of Cinema in Turin, you're not only an explorer and a visitor, but you can also experience the roles of a writer, a painter, an actor, and an audience member. 🏛️As you observe a corner of the movie world, you are a spectator, and yet, you are also a part of it. It is recommended to find a guide to be more helpful. Inside the Turin Tower, you must take the elevator from the underground levels to the top of the tower to enjoy the panoramic view of Turin. The museum's opening hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, and Thursday and Saturday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. It is closed on Tuesdays. The elevator is available for visits during the same hours, and entry is not permitted one hour before closing! #Turin #TurinTower #NationalMuseumofCinema #Italy #DiscoveringtheUnusualandJoyful #Artworks #Cinema #CinemaMuseum
